These terms apply when you place an order with Hawke's Bay Harvest โ whether you've contacted us through this website, by phone, or by email. By placing an order with us, you agree to these conditions.
Pricing
All product prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST. By placing an order you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method for the total cost of your order.
Prices won't change after the time of purchase, even if a product price increases or decreases between order and delivery.
If an order is unusually large compared with typical household or office orders, we reserve the right to add additional freight to the order. Before sending, we'll contact you to let you know the calculated additional freight cost. You can cancel the order and receive a full refund if you're not happy with the additional cost.
Delivery
Your order will be delivered in a chilled and insulated box. The box will be left at a secure spot even if no one is home. It is your responsibility to ensure the carton and its contents are refrigerated as soon as possible after delivery.
Service
We'll always communicate with you about any delays with deliveries. If there are any major delays on our behalf we'll offer a replacement or a full refund for the order.
Damaged or missing goods
If an order is lost in transit or damaged before arrival, we'll work with you to organise a replacement or a full refund.
Cancellations and refunds
Once an order is submitted we cannot accept cancellations or refunds, except where there's a genuine product issue.
We reserve the right to cancel or decline an order for any reason, including but not limited to: products being unavailable, a system error on price or product description, or where products would breach any regulations and we deem it unsafe to deliver.
Product assurance
Products may vary slightly from the pictures on our website โ both in physical appearance and packaging. Images are for illustrative purposes only.
We endeavour to be as comprehensive as possible when describing the products we sell, so please read descriptions carefully before purchasing. If a product is not as described, we'll work with you to resolve the issue. All weighted products may not always be exactly to weight, but if they're not exactly to weight they will be over rather than under. We will not supply less than what's paid for.
If a product becomes unavailable after you've placed an order, we'll get in touch to organise a cancellation, refund, or a replacement of equal or greater value.
We may limit quantities on products ordered. We may also reduce the amount of products in an order, or delay despatch, if it exceeds typical household or office quantities. If this is the case we'll get in touch to discuss options including cancellation or partial refund.
All products are sold in compliance with Australia New Zealand food safety standards. If a product has labelling that doesn't meet these standards โ for example, missing information on allergens, ingredients, or nutritional information โ you may return the product and request a full refund, or accept a replacement of equal or greater value.
All product information on our website is published in correspondence with our suppliers and in good faith. However, product information can change at short notice โ if you have any concerns regarding allergens or other nutritional information, we recommend reviewing the supplier's information directly to ensure you're satisfied before consumption.
If there is a product recall, we'll contact affected customers directly and arrange the appropriate return.
If there are issues with delivery to certain areas, we reserve the right to limit product ranges to those areas.
All products โ including those on sale or promotion โ are subject to availability while stock lasts.
Restricted products
You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase any age-restricted products from us.
The courier may decline delivery if no one is home to accept an order containing age-restricted products, or if the recipient appears too intoxicated at the time of delivery. The courier has the right to verify the recipient's age. If the delivery driver does not deliver the product for these reasons, we are not liable for any additional transit time that may affect the condition of perishable items.
Storage and shelf life
Please follow standard storage temperatures for each individual product to ensure it remains safe to consume.
All meat products will be delivered with a minimum 7-day best-before date.
Fruit and vegetables need to be stored in the right conditions to ensure they're consumed at a safe and satisfactory quality.
Once products are received, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure correct storage to maintain quality.
